These are the words used in the audio version.

1
Whate’er my God ordains is right,
His holy will abideth;
I will be still whate’er He does,
And follow where He guideth.
He is my God, though dark my road;
He holds me that I shall not fall;
And so to Him I leave it all,
And so to Him I leave it all.

2
Whate’er my God ordains is right,
He never will deceive me;
He leads me by the proper path,
I know He will not leave me.
I take, content, what He has sent;
His hand can turn my griefs away;
And patiently I wait His day,
And patiently I wait His day.
3
Whate’er my God ordains is right,
Though now this cup in drinking
May bitter seem to my faint heart,
I take it all, unshrinking.
My God is true, each morn anew
Sweet comfort yet shall fill my heart;
And pain and sorrow shall depart,
And pain and sorrow shall depart.

4
Whate’er my God ordains is right,
Here shall my stand be taken;
Though sorrow, need, or death be mine,
Yet I am not forsaken.
My Father’s care is round me there;
He holds me that I shall not fall;
And so to Him I leave it all,
And so to Him I leave it all.

These are two verses from the original hymn that have been omitted.

Whate’er my God ordains is right:
His loving thought attends me;
No poison can be in the cup
That my physician sends me.
My God is true; each morn anew
I’ll trust His grace unending,
My life to Him commending.

Whate’er my God ordains is right:
He is my friend and Father;
He suffers naught to do me harm,
Though many storms may gather,
Now I may know both joy and woe,
Some day I shall see clearly
That He hath loved me dearly.

Madeleine Forrell Marshall version 1992

        God’s actions, always good and just,
        Proceed from God’s perfection;
        So we our world’s affairs entrust
        To godly just protection.
        When all I see is misery,
        When rank oppression pains me,
        God’s righteousness sustains me.

        My gracious guide in righteous ways,
        God sets my course of action;
        And I may trace life’s seeming maze,
        Assured of satisfaction.
        For, just and fair, God shall repair
        All evil and distortion,
        And cancel each misfortune.

        The lamp of truth, my God dispels
        The shadows that alarmed me.
        A living shield, my God repels
        The death-beams that would harm me.
        The truth will win, the light break in,
        Achieving revelation,
        Completing my salvation.

        God’s ways are ever loving kind,
        Whatever our delusion.
        And if I taste the bitter wine,
        The cup of my confusion,
        Take heart, my soul, for you shall know
        Sweet comfort follows sadness.
        The pain shall end in gladness.
