Our church began here in the Hampton area of Herne Bay a little over 80 years ago. Today our regular congregation hovers around the 35-40 mark as meet to honour the Lord Jesus Christ and pay serious attention to the Word of God, the Bible.
Our worship is traditional in that we love to sing hymns that give glory to God, to call upon Him in prayer, to read His Word and to learn from Him through the preaching of that same Word. Twice a month we celebrate the Lord's Supper.
The Christian message is a terrific message of hope because it focuses first of all on what God has done for us in the Lord Jesus Christ. His love is wonderful and His grace amazing and it is all offered freely to undeserving sinners. Who wouldn't want to rejoice in such a great God and in such a great salvation?
There is of course the Christian life to lead but in order to lead it a person must first become a Christian by receiving Christ by faith. The Bible does not teach that we make ourselves Christians by trying hard - God tells us of the need to be born again and He Himself grants this newness of life.
In short we are an evangelical congregation (members of the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches) and we love the doctrines of grace. Come and learn to adore the God of all Grace with us.
