  • Hymn

All glory to God in the sky,
and peace on the earth be restored!
O Jesus, exalted on high,
appear our omnipotent Lord!
who, lowly in Bethlehem born,
here stooped to redeem a lost race;
once more to creation return
and reign in your kingdom of grace.

2. When you in our flesh did appear,
all nature acknowledged your birth:
so dawned the long-prophesied year
and heaven was opened on earth.
Receiving its Lord from above,
the world was united to bless
the giver of friendship and love,
the Prince and the Author of peace.

3. Lord Jesus, again be made known!
Again in your Spirit descend
and set up in each of your own
a kingdom that never shall end.
You only are able to bless
and make all the nations obey;
commanding our hatred to cease,
bring everything under your sway.

4. Come then to your servants again,
who long your appearing to know;
your quiet and peaceable reign
in mercy establish below.
All sorrow before you shall fly,
all hatred and strife be undone;
all envy and malice shall die,
and all learn to honour the Son.

Micah :1-13

"It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and it shall be lifted up above the hills; and peoples shall flow to it, and many nations shall come, and say: "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob, that he may teach us his ways and that we may walk in his paths." For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. He shall judge between many peoples, and shall decide for strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore; but they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree, and no one shall make them afraid, for the mouth of the LORD of hosts has spoken. For all the peoples walk each in the name of its god, but we will walk in the name of the LORD our God forever and ever.

In that day, declares the LORD, I will assemble the lame and gather those who have been driven away and those whom I have afflicted; and the lame I will make the remnant, and those who were cast off, a strong nation; and the LORD will reign over them in Mount Zion from this time forth and forevermore.

And you, O tower of the flock, hill of the daughter of Zion, to you shall it come, the former dominion shall come, kingship for the daughter of Jerusalem. Now why do you cry aloud? Is there no king in you? Has your counselor perished, that pain seized you like a woman in labour? Writhe and groan, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in labour, for now you shall go out from the city and dwell in the open country; you shall go to Babylon. There you shall be rescued; there the LORD will redeem you from the hand of your enemies.

Now many nations are assembled against you, saying, "Let her be defiled, and let our eyes gaze upon Zion." But they do not know the thoughts of the LORD; they do not understand his plan, that he has gathered them as sheaves to the threshing floor. Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion, for I will make your horn iron, and I will make your hoofs bronze; you shall beat in pieces many peoples; and shall devote their gain to the LORD, their wealth to the Lord of the whole earth."

  • Hymn

Behold, the mountain of the Lord
In latter days shall rise
On mountain tops above the hills,
And draw the wondering eyes.

2. To this, the joyful nations round,
All tribes and tongues, shall flow;
‘Up to the hill of God,’ they’ll say,
‘And to his house we’ll go.’

3. The Word that shines from Zion’s hill
Shall lighten every land;
Our Saviour-King shall teach his ways
And countless hearts command.

4. Among the nations he shall judge,
And into truth shall guide;
He many people shall rebuke
And quell the sinner’s pride.

5. His subjects shall be filled with love
To harvest souls these years;
To ploughshares they shall beat their swords,
To pruning-hooks their spears.

6. His own, among the nations set,
All racial hate disown,
And national pride subordinate
To serve the eternal throne.

7. O ‘House of Jacob’, called of God,
Elect from every land,
O come and walk in his great light,
Beneath his mighty hand.

  • Hymn

Your kingdom come, O God!
your rule, O Christ, begin;
break with your iron rod
the tyrannies of sin.

2. Where is your reign of peace
and purity and love?
When shall all hatred cease
as in the realms above?

3. When comes the promised time,
the end of strife and war;
when lust, oppression, crime
and greed shall be no more?

4. O Lord our God, arise
and come in your great might!
revive our longing eyes
which languish for your sight!

5. As rebels scorn your name
and wolves devour your fold,
by many deeds of shame
we learn that love grows cold.

6. On nations near and far
thick darkness gathers yet:
arise, O Morning Star,
arise and never set!

  • Hymn

My heart is filled with thankfulness
To Him who bore my pain;
Who plumbed the depths of my disgrace
And gave me life again;
Who crushed my curse of sinfulness
And clothed me in His light,
And wrote His law of righteousness
With power upon my heart.

My heart is filled with thankfulness
To Him who walks beside;
Who floods my weaknesses with strength
And causes fears to fly;
Whose every promise is enough
For every step I take,
Sustaining me with arms of love
And crowning me with grace.

My heart is filled with thankfulness
To Him who reigns above;
Whose wisdom is my perfect peace,
Whose every thought is love.
For every day I have on earth
Is given by the King.
So I will give my life, my all,
To love and follow Him.
